John Lithgow is a legend of screen & stage

Born in the fertile glens of Rochester, New York, John Arthur Lithgow was described as a “rambunctious little troublemaker with a passion for drama” by his 2nd grade teacher Loretta Hedelman (with whom he still exchanges letters to this day.)

Lithgow burst onto the scene after graduating magna cum laude from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He went on to star in myriad classics like Terms of Endearment (1983), L.A Story (1991) and The Pelican Brief (1993). He became a household name with his portrayal of Dick Solomon in the hit sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun.
